AFI Top 100 Update

It has been a while since I had a post before today.  However, I have continued to watch movies.  Since it has been a while since I watched some of them, I decided to not give my review.  Instead, I will give facts about the movie.  I will go change the prior posts to add facts.

As for the movies, here is an update

  • I have watched 299 out of 412 movies.  The number of movies in each category is:
    • AFI Top Movies (1998) - 71 out of 100
    • AFI Laughs - 100 out of 100
    • AFI Thrills - 59 out of 100
    • AFI Passions - 86 out of 100
    • AFI Film Scores - 20 out of 25
    • AFI Cheers - 66 out of 100
    • AFI Musicals - 14 out of 25
    • AFI Top Movies (2007) - 72 out of 100
    • AFI's 10 Top 10 - 67 out of 11
  • I have watched 89 of the 299 on TCM.  58 have been on Netflix and 48 on Amazon.  195 out of the 299 have been watched on one of those three.
  • I watched 119 in 2012, 169 in 2013 and 11 so far in 2014.
  • I have given a 5* rating to 27 of the movies.

AFI 100 Years ... 100 Laughs Completed

Tonight I watched Take the Money and Run which is #66 on the AFI 100 Years ... 100 Laughs list.  I have now watched all 100 movies in less than a year.  I watched the first one on July 7, 2012 and watched the 100th on July 2, 2013.

Here is the number of movies I watched each month.  I started out by watching a lot of them early, but slowed down because I was waiting until the movies were available on TV.  The last 4 were watched via DVD because they were not on TV and not available via online streaming.

 I gave each movie on the list a rating between 2.0 and 5.0.  My average rating was 3.54.  Here is a distribution of my ratings:
